We had a song practice in preparation for the BCF weekend. We also visited the local computer repair shop as there still something not right with Hazel’s computer.
Other boats arrived: Kairos (Chris and Sally), Ultreya (Chris and Di), Dutch Courage (Richard and Elizabeth), Faithful (John and Gill), Paws 4 Thought (Tony without Pat), Chyandour (Stephen and Gwyneth)
We had another very sociable meal, this time for 14 at an Indian Restaurant.
No boating today. No pics either.
Fri 27th September Fazeley
More BCF boats arrived: Sonflower (Peter and Fran) and Ichthus (John and Jane Pescod).
We lit a fire today. Hazel went to collect her computer which had been fixed. We had some more heavy rain, and we had a meal on board for a change.
We went to the BCF social in the church hall – drinks and nibbles. We examined the PA possibilities, and projection system in the church for the morning. John Speight worked it all out. We agreed to meet at 8.30am to get everything connected and working.
No boating today. No pics either.
Sat 28th September Fazeley
We met as planned in church at 0830 to set up instruments, mics, and projection systems. Martin Inchley joined us to connect the keyboard.
We were provided with breakfast baps in the church hall before the service.
BCF members moving into the church
At 10.00am as we were preparing to lead worship, Hazel was stung twice by a wasp. Once on her neck, and once on her finger as she brushed it away. She carried on despite the pain, and we led three songs in a row, which were followed by some prayers, and we led a hymn to finish.
Martin Inchley led two excellent teaching sessions on prayer, and these were followed by a bring-your-own lunch.
Quizzes in the afternoon, then a BBQ in the evening, followed by BCF entertainment. We sang Rochdale Nine, Miles and Miles of Poly, and Jan and John accompanied us on Long Way Down.

It was a very good day.
No boating today
Next: Two services and a pub lunch tomorrow with BCF friends, and then an attempt to reach Atherstone without getting wet on the locks.
